Precious Moments 4-tier Fondant Cake

The main purpose of going to Indonesia is to build this cake and bake sugar cookies, cupcakes and such.

Candy Bar set-up comes second.

I never want to pass this project since it’s been a while that I have seen my best friend for 5 years. The last time we met was 2007, September to be exact.

We promised that we will meet and study together again in Paris, France, but a lot of changes happened, she got married, and now has a kid. But then, I guess fate really did something to make our promise come true, I went there for a week or so (Singapore was like my stop before going there, there’s no direct flight from Manila).

It brought back a lot of memories though, she was my partner in all our classes in Le Cordon Bleu, except for Plated Desserts (where we were all separated in different groups). It’s felt good to reminisce back in San Francisco where we usually quarrel over something so childish. But then after class we were friends again. Now, things changed we never fought anymore, I guess being years apart only talking thru phone once in a while, chatting in Facebook, things changed. We were still the goofy partners but matured… well yeah, but we still kept our childish antics and gossips of the past. With our blackberries, we usually communicate almost everyday. Which I’m happy. I guess there’s only two of us who’s friendship remained strong all these years. 

Now meeting her again, her husband, family and my godson. At first it felt surreal, but as the days past by I felt I was part of her own family. I got close to her sisters and her other best friend which I became really close to, it’s as if we were friends for a long time.

Now I’m back in Manila, I can’t wait to go back there again. We’re gonna set-up a bakery, which we’ll sell some cakes, cupcakes, sugar cookies and breads. 

Hopefully it will be launched this year. But if not early next year? Haha.

Even though her city is small and not as big as Manila, it felt like it’s my second home already. :)
